Dr. Ashley Massimino is a licensed clinical and forensic psychologist who works for the third largest law enforcement agency in the United States. Dr. Massimino specializes in treating trauma, substance abuse, chronic pain and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and is trained to provide Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. Her private practice provides a confidential law-enforcement sensitive service for active-duty military, veterans, law enforcement, first responders, health care professionals, and their families. Dr. Massimino is also the host of the Staff Assistant Podcast. The Staff Assistant Podcast is designed to assist and educate law enforcement personnel about mental health issues and managing work related stress. With the goal of normalizing therapy and trauma, the podcast explores each guest’s history of trauma, personal and professional, while capturing the unique challenges law enforcement and first responders face each day.
